• Cleanliness: 10 Housekeeping staff needs to be commended for the outstanding maintenance throughout the hotel.
• Location: 10 Central location for walking, sightseeing, buses, taxis, restaurants and shopping.
• Common facilities and services: 5 Daily newspapers available in the lobby. Hotel is attached to shared café. Two computers available in lobby for client use.
• Staff: 10 Front desk staff was amazing - always happy to help. Were especially good at arranging day tours.
• Quietness: 10 Even though our room faced Puerta Del Sol (we LOVED the view!), the steel shutters and double-paned, steel doors made the room virtually soundproof from the endless nighttime noise and revelry. There are noisy groups of people in the square ALL night long but we were scarcely bothered by the noise.
• Room: 10 Room 423 - excellent view overlooking the square from the balcony with virtually soundproof doors. Clean, crisp décor. Bathroom amenities included complimentary toiletries, toothbrush, razor, etc. Lovely bath sheets - larger than your average bath towel. Room has digital safe for personal belongings, small frig (esp. good for those who need to keep medications chilled!), but no microwave or coffee/tea service despite the fact there is an electric kettle and two cups provided in the room. There is a café attached to the hotel for those desiring afternoon tea, coffee of hot chocolate.
• Value for money: 10 Very good value for the price. Excellent service and location. These people know how to run a hotel!
