• Negative: The A/C had a setting that prevented the room from being as cool as I would like. I was forced to open the windows, but my balcony overlooked Puerta del Sol so it was too loud to sleep. My choice was sweating while trying to sleep or cool and too loud to sleep.

• Quietness: 2.5 As noted, the A/C was set to disallow a comfortable setting. With the windows open it was too loud. Note that the A/C appeared to be set at its lowest temperature, but clearly the system did not allow the A/C to go that low. My traveling companion had the same problem in her room.
