Grupotel Gravina is a unique establishment located in a quiet street in the centre of Barcelona. Its prime location, 100 m from the Plaza Cataluña, the Ramblas, MACBA and the Plaza Universitat will enable you to get to the know the city very well. Refurbished in 2006, after receiving you with a warm welcome we will invite you to a complementary glass of cava. You can enjoy an excellent breakfast or a delicious cocktail in our homely Snack Bar or browse through the national and international newspapers, surf the net in our free Internet Corner or use your own computer thanks to our free wireless connection. You can rest in one of our 84 homely rooms after a day of work or sightseeing or enjoy a cup of tea or coffee while watching the more than 30 TV channels (Digital +). We also offer, of course, all types of facilities: hairdryer, air-conditioning, mini-bar, safe, kettle. You can hold events in our two function rooms, making use of all the services that you require.

  • Positive: good location, good (but expensive) breakfast. Internet access. Clean and generally well run apart from the restaurant in the evening.
  • Negative: The retaurant in the evening is very poor. Whe you arrive, there are no staff there. twice I waited ten minutes, then asked the receptionist to find the waiter. maybe this is why so few people eat in the restaurant. Evening service is very slow. we took two and a half hours for a three course meal when there were only 4 people in the restaurant. On one occasion I waited for 30 minutes to get a bill, in the end I just put some cash on the table and left. I have stayed in the restaurant 3 times over 4 years and it%27s always been the same in the evening. It%27s a real shame because apart from this it is a good hotel.

  • Quietness: 2.5 I was on the first floor this visit in a room near the lift and with much noise from the dining area below
  • Room: Not rated Disappointing. On my last visit I was in the Gravina 2 which was fantastic. This time on the first floor of the original hotel the room was much smaller, noisy, far too hot and constantly smelt of bad drains. I had brought other members of the University with me on this trip and they used the Gravina on my recommendation after my last visit but we were disappointed.
