• Positive: The rooms was comfortable and clean. The hotel was located close to things important to my visit (e.g. Royal Botanic Garden, etc.)
• Negative: Check in took too long because only one person was working behind the counter and she took all the check out customers first, even though some of them arrived at the desk after those who had been waiting for a long time. Some of the people working behind the desk were not friendly, although this is countered by others who were extremely friendly and helpful. One was a young man who spoke very clear English (good because my Spanish is poor) and was very professional. The card in the bathroom said that if we didn%27t want our towels changed daily, leave them hanging. We did this, but they were changed anyway. Being environmentally conscious, we wished the staff would adhere to the policy. What good is it if it is not followed? Coming from the US where we live in a smoke-free environment, the current situation in Spain is very uncomfortable because of all the cigar and cigarette smoke. Even though we were in a smoke-free room, we could still smell the smoke coming from adjacent rooms that were not smoke free. My hope is that this hotel, and Spain in general, will progress to the point where they recognize the true dangers of second-hand smoke and take REAL action to protect nonsmokers (including the poor children who breathe smoke constantly).
