• Negative: The noise from the neighborhood bars at night (not the hotel's fault); there are already double windows so there's little Marlasca can do about it.

• Cleanliness: 7.5 Floors could be cleaner.
• Location: 10 Close to pretty much everything, a real plus.
• Common facilities and services: 5 Just a place to sleep, but again, the beds themselves are excellent. TV with good reception and lots of channels. Bring your own shampoo.
• Staff: 10 We had a leaking toilet, and the staff took care of it immediately.
• Quietness: 2.5 This is a neighborhood for noisy bars, and unlike Barcelona, Madrid has no anti-noise campaign. Especially around 4-5AM lots of drunk male youngsters screaming and yelling. This is not the fault of the hotel—they already installed double glass windows.
• Room: 7.5 On the small side, but very well laid out. The bathrooms have walk-in showers, very new and nice (but they lack soap dishes)
• Value for money: 7.5 Definitely. Easy website too, and very easy to make reservations.
