Hotel Récamier, newly renovated, has just reopened its doors after a substantial renovation. Half of the 24 rooms have a direct view on place Saint Sulpice. The rooms have been superbly revamped by the renowned interior designer Jean Louis Deniot who was inspired to create 24 entirely different rooms with one theme per floor. On a classical basis he has added some eclecticism inspired by the various 20th century decorative styles. You will find neither hyper exuberance nor minimalism: here we are talking real Parisian elegance, no cheap effects. As is often the case on the left bank the space is limited, so you must not expect a large reception hall and a huge sitting room: we are here in the bourgeois intimacy of a family home.
