• Positive: proximity to the metro. Puerto del Toledo is very close to a metro station of the same name. That station is only three stops from Plaza Mayor or Puerta del Sol which are very central for Madrid.
• Negative: breakfast-not much variety and materials available weren't very good quality. Pastries didn't seem fresh, coffee was only okay. Most spanish coffee is amazingly good, at Puerta de Toledo the coffee was like average american coffee. Also no refrigerators in rooms. Really would have appreciated a refrigerator in the room.
• I RECOMMEND it for... Families, Budget travelers
• I recommend it especially AGAINST... Luxury, Travelers with a car
• Cleanliness: 5 never changed out our used water glasses
• Location: 10 very convenient to a central metro station
• Common facilities and services: 5 the furniture and decorations seemed dated and tired
• Staff: 7.5 helpful and efficient-could be more friendly
• Quietness: 2.5 rooms facing the roundabout will hear the sirens from the nearby ambulance service every night at least once.
• Room: 7.5 decent size by european standards, visitors staying in a room with a view of the arch in the center of the traffic circle may find it interesting
• Value for money: 7.5 very reasonable price for what you get.
