• Positive: The location was fantastic, and although it was on a main street, it was quiet in the room with no traffic noise.
• Negative: Our room did not have a view since we were on the eighth floor, but this was minor to us since we were out and about so much!

• Common facilities and services: 7.5 The couch outside the elevator on the eighth floor had a spotted cover; there were no gym facilities which was very surprising. The coffee bar in the lobby was good and was reasonably priced.

• Positive: - the opportunity to choose between streetside (noisy) and backside (calm) - the location (metro, bus stop and parco de retiro accross the street and everything (city center, museums...) reachable in just a few minutes) - special thanks to Almudena : she is a perfect hostess (front desk) who knows what guests want/need, who gives you the best information, who is always extremely friendly and willing to help you, and her English is also perfect! Thank you very much Almudena!
• Negative: - We missed warm dishes at breakfast (eggs, bacon...) but nevertheless the breakfast was very OK. - Our room (backside) didn't have a view and looked at other walls from the hotel so the room was very dark and felt inclosed. Anyhow, it was not a big issue because we only spent the nights in the room. During daytime we enjoyed Madrid :-)

• Common facilities and services: 7.5 missed warm dishes at breakfast, but nevertheless it was very OK

• Quietness: 10 At arrival we had the opportunity to choose between a room streetside (noisy traffic) or at the back (calm, but dark and no view)
• Room: 5 room at the back is very calm, but no view :-( (only a wall to see)
• Value for money: 7.5 We didn't pay anything. We got an hotel voucher for a European City at our wedding (2,5 years ago) and we don't regret our choice but are very pleased with our staying in Hotel Nacional Madrid. So for us it was a late honeymoon, payed by friends :-)
