  • Negativ: My Wife and I were looking forward to a Christmas holiday having been stuck in the house for most of the year. We booked a Platinum Junior direct sea view (all inclusive). On arrival, the check in was very slow, even though there were only 3 couples waiting at the Platinum check in. Speed and efficiency were completely lost on the staff at the hotel. When we got to our room (3028) we were disappointed to see that we did not have a direct sea view as there was Champions bar immediately in front of our room. The generators from this building were also very loud. I complained to reception and they said to come back the next day to see what they could do. So next day we packed our bags and went to reception and they said they had nothing until the next day. You can imagine the fury of having packed, to be told to go back to our rooms, unpack and repack again the following day. We booked 12 days, so straight away two of these were ruined by a sub standard view. I would not normally be bothered but we had paid a significant premium for a sea view. Eventually we were moved to 4039 which did have another building in front (Mamma Mia restaurant) but this was far smaller and quieter and we were on a higher floor, so it was adequate. The room looked good from first impressions but on closer inspection the toilet did not have a proper door, there was a glass door with a big gap when it was closed. The door handle was also a hole that was cut into the door, so it was not soundproof (or smell proof) . There were tiny bugs on the floor and some of the surfaces. The cleaners did a good job in general but I know they did not mop/bleach the floors, only swept the floors and wiped the surfaces. We stayed platinum which meant exclusive use of a restaurant, infinity pool and sunlounger area. The sunbeds had to be booked on the app, but the sunlounger area was usually full very early, so get those beach towels out early. The food in the platinum restaurant was extremely disappointing. For breakfast, they served exactly the same offering as the Food Market (a non-platinum restaurant). Evening meals at the Platinum restaurant were also below expectations. They are trying to be a 4 star hotel but using 3 star food and ingredients. The cooking of seafood was heavy handed and everything was chewy. The meal we ordered (sirloin medallions) was overcooked beef and resembled bland rubber tyres. Food in the other restaurants (the Roast and Food Market) was also extremely disappointing. I would expect a higher quality of meal from a 4 star all inclusive. It was more 3 star in my opinion. Adequate. Ok to provide sustenance. And I have been to 3 star and 4 star hotels where the food was significantly better, tastier and better cooked. A prime example of this was the Christmas Gala meal. Having paid a ridiculous sum for the stay on Christmas day (over 500 euros) we did expect a really lovely meal. This, we did not get. The whole meal was style over substance. Everything was overcooked and not hot, like it has been sat under heat lamps in the kitchen and there was a choice of 1 white and 1 red (also cava and rose) but not a selection like you would expect of a Christmas "Gala". The wines were not of a very good quality. You could taste that the wines were very sharp, not smooth as in better quality wines. Service was great as always, I cannot fault the restaurant staff, but it is a shame the food and wine were so bad. The alcoholic drinks were generous but tasted of nothing but alcohol, fine if you want to get drunk but not if you want to taste what you're drinking. As a consequence, we went out to eat for 8 out of our 12 evening meals. It seems a bit of a waste but we could not bear to having more disappointing food than we had to. I would recommend getting the breakfast only option, if you really must stay here. Drinks are about 4€ beer, 7€ vodka and coke, if you are not all inclusive. But they are so strong you probably will have half of the normal number of drinks. The entertainment team: Chris, Rosa and Anita were excellent. High energy, friendly and welcoming and we enjoyed many of the activities they offered, rifle, archery, ping pong etc. Thank you to this team for making our stay better. The hotel should be transparent about which services were closed due to covid-19. The gym, sauna and steam room were all closed but there was no mention of this on the website or anywhere else at the time of booking. The view from the sunloungers on the 5th floor onto the sea is amazing and the sunset is beautiful if you can catch it. The sun sets very quickly in Tenerife. I'm sure the manager will reply to this post making excuses for the above but I have written a true and accurate description of our experience at this hotel. We won't be coming back. Our money will be spent on a 4 star hotel that is actually a 4 star hotel and not a 3 star pretending to be a 4 star on the basis of a refurb and new decor.

  • Negativ: I was assaulted by two guests during Christmas dinner - they were verbally abusive, rude and violated covid social distancing measures. I do not agree with how the staff handled the situation, that really ruined my Christmas Day. Otherwise the staff were great.

  • Sauberkeit: Nicht bewertet At Guayarmina Princess, all room cleaners have very weak and completely incorrect equipment for washing the tiled floors of the hotel rooms. An ordinary floor tile used to wash the floor does not clean the dirt from the tile surface well enough. For example, hotel guests ’hair, foot fungi, psoriasis flakes falling from guests’ skin to the floor, or red wine are not cleaned by a normal floor bone! Your hotel room cleaners need electric floor washers where brushes clean and disinfect the floor surfaces of the rooms well! There are also very big differences between your hotel and hotel cleaners. Why don’t some room cleaners put shampoo, conditioners, body cleansers and so on on the toilet table every day? However, your hotel customer pays for them every day!

Guests come in and go out of the hotel many times a day and the hotel doorman does not measure the client’s fever from the skin, as it has been done in the H10 Conquistador****, for example, while ensuring that the client disinfects their hands when entering the hotel. Breakfast in Platinum restaurant was huge disapointing!!! On the small buffet-table no fresh vegetables only tomatoes! No lettuce, cucumbers, fresh salad etc.! No any variation in breakfast offer at all during 14 days!!! Dinner for the low standard, three different options from the menu. For example, in different fish portions always with the same sauce. It look so, that the restaurant manager and hotel management are not professional and ambitious because they are not developing anything new and dont care! Nothing, absolutely nothing has been changed and renewed since last year in this Guayarmina Princess hotels WIFI should be free Your hotel will charge the customer for more efficient and secure use of the WiFi connection! This is how hotels worked in the 1980s and 1990s! Powerful Wi-Fi and a safe have been free at most 4-star hotels for all hotel guests throughout the 21st century!

The customer service concept of Guayarmina Princess Hotel apparently seems to be a question of the service attitude of the top management of the hotel and its lack and old-fashioned business models! When the top management of this hotel is unable to change and renew the entire hotel service concept for the 2020s, it is also directly reflected in the staff’s weak customer service concept and its weak level. This Guayarmina Princess hotel does not need to be returned to the hotel and is not recommended to others, as the service concept of this hotel has not improved in recent years, although the hotel management has been given feedback on the same issues by different customers for several years!
