• Location: 10 right in the centre of Tossa, a great village, but speak to the reception staff about restaurants to eat at.
• Common facilities and services: 7.5
• Staff: 7.5 the day-time receptionist was fantastic - went to great lengths to suggest great eateries and propose excursions. Breakfast staff were grumpy, maybe they had not had their coffee yet.
• Quietness: 5 we had a room overlooking the square. Quite noisy till around 11.30pm, but this is to be expected. Then quiet. Great for people-watching.
• Room: 5 In 2004 we visited twice. The first time the room had great period decor. The one we stayed in the second time, and the room we had this time, were blah.
• Value for money: 7.5 Tossa is a great get-away village. The Diana is such a great building.

• Positive: Beautiful public rooms/lounges downstairs. Upstairs terrace overlooking beach was lovely.
• Negative: As it was out of season the hotel bar (open to public) shut early. Not able to get a drink in the hotel after 6pm unless from the mini bar in your room. Would have been good to have had a tea/coffee facility in bedrooms.

• Cleanliness: 10 Rooms cleaned daily. Public and general areas very clean.
• Location: 10 Right opposite the beach. Central position.

• Quietness: 10 On the whole very quiet, but it was out of season. Some occasional noise from the square that our room overlooked.
• Room: 10 Large, basic and very clean. Air conditioning/heating. Bath and shower. Mini-bar (reasonably priced) and hairdryer in the bathroom.
• Value for money: 10 Paid £260 for 6 nights bed and breakfast for two persons.
