• Positive: The friendly host on the desk who checked on opening times and routes to take and warned us of possible hazards. It was most appreciated.

• Cleanliness: 10 Everything in the room was spotless and clean.
• Location: 7.5 The 14th arrondissement is a residential area, so it's not close to touristy Paris, but the hotel is two blocks from the end of the Porte d'Orleans stop on the #4 line as well as being two blocks from a tram stop, so public transit was easily accessible.
• Common facilities and services: Not rated
• Staff: 10 Fantastic. Loved dealing with them. The hotel seems to be run by a husband-and-wife pair. He speaks some English and is kind and friendly toward people not fluent in French. She does not appear to speak English, so I didn't have any interaction with her.
• Quietness: 5 You could hear people going up and down the stairs, and there would be typical street noise, but I considered it quite acceptable.
• Room: 5 Average does not mean bad. I had a small single room. It is suitable for one person with a small amount of luggage. The bathroom was small but immaculately clean and well-maintained. No air conditioning, but the large window opened to the street to let in a breeze.
• Value for money: 10 Absolutely. This is an inexpensive, well-maintained hotel that was close to public transit as well as my conference location.

• Positive: Very friendly. Clean rooms. Close to transit (Porte Orleans metro station) and doors away from a fantastic bakery. I would stay here again.
