• Positive: I speak Spanish, so I prefer to stay in these small family owned hostals instead of chains. Feels more homelike. I travelled away from Madrid one night but came back and the welcome I got was like I was a long lost daughter coming back home!

• Cleanliness: 10 Extremely clean. Sheets smelled of lavander soap. Bathroom impeccable.
• Location: 10 It%27s a two minute walk to Alonzo Martinez metro with access to 4 lines. 20 min. walk to Gran Via or Colon and central Madrid. Good cafeteria, several bars and shops nearby. Close to grocery store.
• Common facilities and services: 10 My room had air conditionning and small fridge. Although the hostal is located on the 7th floor of a building with appartments, business offices...it has a small elevator.
• Staff: 10 Staff is friendly, family style hospitality.
• Quietness: 7.5 My room faced the street, so a bit of traffic noise on the busy street below. Inside, not completly sound proof, I could hear the doorbell and voices cause I was near the reception area... but there was little inside traffic and voices late in the evening were muffled.
• Room: 10 Small bathroom but good size room 12 x 12 I would say. (I had room 205) Large wardrobe. Nice big window opening to mini balcony with view on de Sagasta street TV, Airconditionning, mini-fridge.
• Value for money: 10 Great price for location, cleanliness, friendlyness, proximity to central MAdrid and Metro line,
