• Positive: Clean, properly equipped and maintained, professionally managed, Hostal Toledo is heartily recommended. For such an attractive price the place is surprising high level for a short-time stay. Staff perfectly polite, it was a pleasure to deal with Antonio and other guys. Atmosphere of a small family business with traditions and self-respect. Very important: at least a part of the staff speak English.
• Negative: Breakfast is very basic. For me it is not important at all, but one who pays attention to eating in morning - not to expect too much...

• Positive: Rooms are quiet and can be made very dark so no problem having a decent night sleep which after Barcelona was much needed!
• Negative: Position initially seems really far from main centre but it really is a fast bus up to the historic centre and stop is almost right outside the hostel.

• Location: 7.5 Easy access, including parking, adjacent to motorway and within walking distance of the old city.
• Common facilities and services: 5 Common services good, breakfast organisation and variety slightly chaotic and basic.
• Staff: 7.5 Limited 'english' spoken by most staff but every effort made to understand and help english guests including where and how to visit the main sites of the city.
• Quietness: 5 Most rooms quiet, with side street aspect but a few front facing rooms overlook a busy street.
• Room: 7.5 Rooms pleasantly better equiped and of a higher standard than that usually associated with hotels within this price range.
• Value for money: 10 Room quality far better than anticipated and compared to budget hotel chains.
