• Positive: What I liked was the location of the Luz, its cleanliness, and the help from the the management.
• Negative: I did not dislike anything about the Luz. We returned to Madrid and returned to the Luz.

• Cleanliness: 10 Always cleaned the rooms and the communal areas daily.
• Location: 10 Proximity to subway and to restaurants, stores and monuments.

• Staff: 10 Everyone helped us to help us in the hotel and to assist us with the city.
• Quietness: 10 No problem with noise.
• Room: 10 The room was not large, but it provided enough space, and price was a feature that made it worthwhile.
• Value for money: 10 If we returned to Madrid, I am certain that we would inquire as to openings in the hotel.

• Positive: Staff were friendly and helpful. I had a single with a bath (Plenty of hot water). It was very clean and nice. There was a closet with a safe (that I didn't use and everything was safe), a small fridge (no freezer), a chair, a TV, WiFi (as well as a separate computer room with three computers) and a small bedside table with two mid sized drawers. One day I even left a ten euro out on the bed and when I got back the bed was made and the ten euro was in the same place I left it. This hostal is in a great, central location with acces to the metro station of opera and a short walk (5 minutes) to Plaza del Sol. It was easy to get everywhere and Margarit was very helpful with directions. The room came with a free breakfast for each day of stay which consisted of a fresh croissant and a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice (and I do mean fresh squeezed) just around the corner at La Travita. The croissants were amazing!!!! You can't get croissants like those in the states. I actually changed my reservations at another hostal on my return home to stay here again. Margarita was wonderful!
• Negative: It was a little difficult to find, and once in the building the door to the hostal was not clearly marked. But once found it was not difficult to find again.
