• Negative: the size/quality of the room seems to be a slight grab bag -- we stayed here twice and once got a very small room (even though it was still clean, etc.) and the second time got a much nicer room -- bigger, with a window and a view, a better shower, etc.

• Cleanliness: 10 the room was cleaned thoroughly every day
• Location: 10 incredible location, right near the ramblas, a subway station, great food, bars, etc. walkable to most major sites, easy to take the train to the others.
• Common facilities and services: 10 free internet area, luggage storage, vending machines
• Staff: 10 thoughtful, fluent in many languages, helpful, nice (when we checked out early in the morning, they offered us muffins and coffee for the road)
• Quietness: 7.5 this probably depends a bit on the room, but the street itself is pretty calm and quiet, so we had no problems. in terms of the interior, there was some noise from being in the middle of a busy hallway, but nothing terrible
• Room: 7.5 a bit hit or miss in terms of size and views (we had one very small room with a small window looking on an airshaft, and later in our trip a much bigger room with a desk, big bathroom, window with little deck, etc. for the same price). the amenities were even across the board -- a hot water heater and tea, television, soap and lotion in the bathroom.
• Value for money: 7.5 yes, overall it was a great deal -- again, it probably depends a bit on the luck of the draw in terms of size and location of room
