This city is built around the lovely bay known as the Concha. With a population of 180,000, San Sebastian is an elegant, modern city that enjoys a high standard of living. Located on the Bay of Biscay, only 20 kilometers from the French border, its weather is consistent year-round, with mild winters and cool summers.
In the middle of the bay is the island of Santa Clara and at the ends are the mountains from which you can clearly see the whole city: Mount Urgull and Mount Igueldo. The latter of the two has a funfair as well as a small zoo.
The capital of Guipúzcoa has earned its ranking as one of Spain’s most beautiful towns. In this city, you’ll find the magnificent Victoria Eugenia theater, the San Telmo Museum and the Cathedral.
