Biking Madrid

Many of you know that Madrid isn’t the ideal city in terms of bikes because it only has certain available areas for the use of the magnificent tool but, there are some places specially on the outside of Madrid in which you will be able to hava a good byke ride: Moratalaz, for instance, San Sebatián de los Reyes, Parque Juan Carlos I and many others have complete bike areas, but the problem is that you might have to put your bike in your car before getting there, which makes it a non-sense.

  • A hotel in Madrid’s Plaza Mayor

    According to the newspaper EL País, Alberto Ruiz Gallardón (Madrid’s Mayor) has been since 2007 promoting the idea of modifying the Urbanistica Plan of the city in order to build a luxury hotel in the Casa de la Carnicería, on the famous Plaza Mayor. The last votation during the Urbanism Commission ended with the rejection of the socialists PSOE and the communist IU, but the Economy’s Cultural Department is already preparing the project, including characteristics of the future hotel and economical viability plans.

    Have you already been to the Prado Museum, the Thyssen, the Reina Sofía and still have plenty of time left in Madrid? If you have been to these museums instead of spending your precious time getting wasted, it is because (let me take a guess) you are a cultured person that likes arts and culture. If I am right, then you undoubtedly have to visit Madrid’s Naval Museum, that in fact could be the most important in Spain, in spite of the Naval Museum of Ferrol, in the province of A Coruña.
