Metallica, Bon Jovi, Rage Against the Machine, Cypress Hill, Shakira, Rihanna, David Guetta, Tiesto … are just some of the names of the lineup of Rock in Rio Madrid music festival to be held in the town of Arganda Del Rey in just 53 days.

As there are plenty of artists coming to Rock in Rio it will last five full days, precisely the days 4,5,6, 11 and 14 June, which already makes it impossible for many potential consumers to enjoy the concert in full, because from day 6 to 11 there are five long days of waiting, and five days off work aren’t easily achieved. The best option would be to pick ten complete days of holidays to enjoy everything about it, or just a single day, according to the artists that you prefer to watch.

In words of Roberto Medina, creator of Rock in Rio, “It isn’t a heavy metal project, but has heavy metal, not a pop event, but has pop, and it is also about local music and art. The event will comply with the preferences of the public and will offer many other attractions to motivate young people and entire families.” With these words he defined the essence of this festival, which calls for the combination of all the world music tribes, assuming it’s the diversity that will make the meeting so attractive. The difference between this festival and others is that here you will find from rappers to heavies, although some have absolutely nothing to do with the other, and this not to mention the thousands of girls who will go to see Rihanna and Shakira, or Bon Jovi, who will undoubtedly appeal to all kinds of people.

How to get there…

In this link you can see a detailed explanation on what roads to take to get to the door of the festival in the historic town of Arganda del Rey, if you want to drive, because these things are always better to go by train or bus.

Metro: Last stop of Line 9 to the south. My advice, take the metro because it only takes 15 minutes from downtown Madrid.

Renfe:(Train): from Atocha station, go to the Puerta de Arganda. More attractive as you see the landscape of Madrid.

Bus: Lines 311-A and 312-A from the Plaza del Conde de Casal. As cheap as the metro.
