País Vasco - San Sebastián - La Concha The Basque Country is located in the eastern part of the Cantabrian mountain range. It takes in three provinces: Alava, Guizpuzcoa, and Biscay. The Atlantic Ocean and the Pyrenees mountains are the backdrop to a landscape bearing every shade of green.

Estuaries and hills of woodlands filled with ash and oak trees cut into the steep coastline, with cliffs overlooking the sea. In terms of gastronomy, the Basque Country is a gold mine. Its fine restaurants, tapas bars and cider taverns offer some of the nation's best traditional Spanish cuisine.
