Avila is most impressive after nightfall. If you approach the city on the Road from Salamanca, a stop at the ‘Cuatro Postes’, or four posts, in the outskirts of Avila, is highly recommended. From there you can see the best views of this walled city.

In Avila you will discover the beauty of the walls, a national monument; the grandness of the cathedral of Avila and the Royal Monastery of St. Thomas.
